“Most” of 2013
I had thought I wouldn’t do this since I live in quite the backwater of blogdom, but then Mystie and Brandy went through and found their top five and curiosity got the better of me. Ah, the peer pressure.

Thanks mostly to Mystie for linking my post Academic Year 2013: Circle Time, it was far and away the most-hit post of the year – more than 100 greater than the post with the next biggest hit count.

Wondering if it matters that the “most comments” includes me responding to the comments. With 10 comments, 5 by me, is my final Weekly Report of 2013. The next most is 9 (3 by me) is Wordy Wednesday: Performance Pride which was the quote from the preface of Carolyn Weber’s Holy is the Day, my favorite book of 2013.
Post with the best picture
Not being a particularly good photographer, nor understanding what make a picture “best”, I’m going to go with our silhouette from the beach. It’s one of my favorites, taken at dusk. Most of my pictures are just snaps, but this was purposeful and has our whole family.
Post that was hardest to write
Certainly it was my review of The Pilgrim at Tinker Creek by Annie Dillard. I wanted to convey my satisfaction in having read it and its worth of being read while at the same time my dislike and struggle with it. I couldn’t give it stars, deserving neither few nor many, and middling seemed wrong, too.
Post that was your personal favorite (not your readers’ favorite- your favorite)
This is hard. I do mostly book reviews and memes, they keep me on track and blogging, but I do occasionally go off that path and post something else: the posts from the few chapters from Cindy’s Hidden Art book club that I participated in (Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 4) or the posts from the Homeschool Convention (part 1, part 2, part 3). These are some of my favorite posts this year, but I think my favorite might just be pictures, Wordless Wednesday: School Outside again because I like the pictures and the feeling.
I'm glad you did it, too, Dawn! Wasn't it fun? 🙂 I always like reading your book reviews. I would like to get back to doing that myself in 2014….but I said that this time last year, too. 🙂
It was surprisingly fun! I'm glad you like my book reviews … I often wonder if people read them because interaction is rare, but I keep my blog for myself – like a journal – and I like to go back and read them sometimes to remind myself about the book (or activity). You do much more thorough book reviews, too. Mine tend to be what I quickly write up so I can start the next book LOL.
