Memory Work Monday: 10/24/2011

Memory Work for the week of … October 24, 2011:

Bible: We’re finishing Psalm 1 this week.

Catechism/Creed: Continuing on the Nicene Creed and the same sets of Catechism questions from last week.

Hymn: Finishing Glorious Things of Thee Are Spoken this week.

Poetry: November, Something Told the Wild Geese, and My Shadow.  I’m hoping to polish the Level 1 poems in November and start Level 2 for M-girl and N-boy in January.  I need to select our Yuletide Session poem; last year we did Christmas Carol from the Wind in the Willows and I’m considering revisiting it.

Counting:  7s.

Other Memory Work: History, continuing on the sentences through Nebuchadnezzar.  Science, we’ve got the 11 systems of the human body down, so we’ll probably do the Five Senses.  Geography, we should finish up the Middle States song this week.

  1. Thanks for posting that link to the Wind in the Willows poem! I think we'll try that one this christmas too. I enjoyed reading about your memory work!

  2. Psalms 1 is one of my favorite scriptures. I read it most Sundays mornings. Your memory work for the week looks well-rounded.
