Jason mentioned that roller coasters seemed to beat us up worse than usual. He found this out because we went to Paramount’s King’s Island (FKA: King’s Island) on Saturday when we rode The Beast. It was hot. There were lots of people there; thus, there were long lines. The tickets were free, so we stayed only 3-1/2 hours.

Friday night we stayed at his parents’ house, and ate dinner at Mighty Casey’s where a blues band was playing. The first part of their performance, they had a flute as part of their band. It was an interesting – but enjoyable addition. After a while, they changed the instruments: one of the guitarists started playing an accordion and the floutist played a washboard. This was also enjoyable to listen to. Mighty Casey’s is going to change names and eventually become a micro-brewery. I’m sure we’ll go back.

We also ate at the Village Ice Cream Parlor, which you’ve probably seen if you’ve seen the movie Milk Money twice. Once for ice cream after being at Kin … pardon me, Paramount’s King’s Island, and a second time for dinner with Jason’s parents to celebrate his mom’s birthday – Happy Birthday (belated), Mom!
