“The History Poem”
Miss L, our favorite babysitter, was here Monday evening. She and the children were playing “college” where M-girl was the professor. M-girl assigned the following memory work poem (that she dictated to Miss L):
The History Poem by M. Garrett
Egyptians always make their names
In history books or other things
Everything is always found
Unless some robbers have stolen mummy things.
They always made their things and,
They loved to go bowling.
Sometimes, they went bowlin’!
Everything we always find
Are mostly all mummy things.
