The Simple Woman’s Daybook for January 20, 2014

FOR TODAY

Outside my window… the ground and the sky are the same color of white.

Praising God… for His Word.  Ps 119.

I am thinking… about making breakfast.

I am thankful… my wonderful husband has the day off.

In the kitchen… the refrigerator stuff is in coolers and the refrigerator is dying a slow death.

I am wearing… sweats and t-shirt. I need to go change soon.

I am creating… nothing much, at the moment.

I am going… to the grocery store at some point.

I am wondering… how coffee with only sugar and no creamer will taste. [sigh]

I am reading… The Narnian by Alan Jacobs and Perelandra by C S Lewis.  Both good so far.

I am hoping… to finish both this week.

I am looking forward to… a new refrigerator.

I am learning… about CS Lewis’ search for Joy as Alan Jacobs understands it.  Interesting to see it show up in Perelandra so shortly after reading it in the The Narnian.

Around the house… well, it isn’t awful, but some attention is required.  Motivated Moms to the rescue.

I am pondering… Christ as prophet.

A favorite quote for today…

One of my favorite things… bank holidays.

A few plans for the rest of the week… basketball, Bible Study, piano.  Should be busy! 🙂

A peek into my day…

Last lesson of Year 2!
