M-girl has her own kindle (basic, eInk, no ads) and reads from it regularly. That goes in fits and starts; right now she's reading a lot of book books.
The others don't read from devices much except for school. I bought Narnia on Kindle so we wouldn't have to have 4 copies. We also have some of our History and/or science reading electronically. N-boy is currently reading Grammar-Land. Otherwise, they only read book books. So, some school reading is electronic, most other reading is print.
When mine were younger, we only had hard copies. As they've grown older & especially since starting Dr. grants humanities course, we've bought more on Kindle & iBooks- mostly for lessons though. For personal reading, they prefer a real book. That makes me happy. 🙂
Yes, mostly for lessons, but I do appreciate that I can get older, quality literature onto M-girl's kindle for free because it's in the public domain. I also bought the Yesterday's Classics bundle one of the times it was $50 and that has been used a bunch by us.
I'm so glad, Gina! Too many favorite books. We're reading Narnia for school and that has been a hit. Redwall and the Warriors books are being devoured quickly here right now and Nancy Drew is a perennial favorite with my girls.
Love these pics!!!
Can I ask how regularly your children read from electronic devices vs. a bound book?

Yes!!! I love kids reading. You've inspired me for my post next week, also!
Any favorite books in your house?

Love it!
Thanks, Karen!
