Driving along in the car, Meg is talking to herself. As she pretty much always does.
Suddenly I realize she’s counting, “one, two, whee, five, TEN!”
Silly girl.

[firmly] SMART girl. 😉
Indeed she’s smart. Do you think she should be doing higher math, Dawn? 🙂
And – she has the numbers in the right sequence, even if she’s jumped ahead a bit. Lots of little kids just toss numbers together.
SMART GIRL!

Nonono. Just the “whee” is from jumping into the pool or going down a slide, “One, Two, Wheeeee.”
And skipping 4, 6, 7, 8, 9 is a bit silly.
Today Meg & Matthias helped me put the wet clothes in the drier. I started to count and Meg said “two” all on her own after I said one. Very smart girl! Maybe some of the brains can rub off on Matthias- I keep trying to remind myself that she is a first child & a girl! 🙂
We LOVED having you here today!

Brian and I have been practicing counting with David while putting toys his toy basket, and I think he’s finally got the idea that 2 comes right after 1. Woo-hoo! we’re not quite to 3 yet 🙂
