I’m such a follower … I almost did this meme yesterday when Mama Squirrel posted it (unbidded, even). But look, Brandy tagged me anyway. And, so, here is some content 😉

ONE RESOURCE YOU WOULDN’T BE WITHOUT

We love, love, love the Mathematics Enhancement Programme. I wrote about it here. M-girl is almost done with Year 1 and it has given her such a solid foundation in addition, subtraction, equalities and inequalities, with variety and logic problems thrown in. Did I mention it is free for the printing? If you ask any of my three children what their favorite subject is, it’s math.

ONE RESOURCE YOU WISH YOU HAD NEVER BOUGHT

I somehow ended up with three phonics programs: Alphaphonics, Phonics Pathways, and The Ordinary Parent’s Guide to Teaching Reading,  I would keep Ordinary Parents Guide and not purchase the other two. Probably because I tried to start teaching M-girl too soon.

Oh, and Slow and Steady, Get Me Ready.

ONE RESOURCE YOU ENJOYED LAST YEAR

“Last Year” is now. We’ve enjoyed Covenantal Catechism. We enjoy the songs, Bible Memory, seeing God’s unfolding Line of Promise, and the discussion the curriculum has provided.

ONE RESOURCE YOU WILL BE USING NEXT YEAR

We’re going to move to Song School Latin and Latin For Children for M-girl. We’ve liked Prima Latina a lot (and N-boy will use it next year, R-girl the year after), but I like where the Classical Academic Press’s curriculum is going a lot better than finishing with Henle in the Memoria Press sequence.

The Homeschool in the Woods History Through the Ages timeline figures … Oh, and I drool over The Lost Tools of Writing, but I’m waiting patiently.
