Commonplace Book Entry: Redeeming Science by Vern Poythress
Redeeming Science by Vern Poythress pg. 53:
Christian tolerance does not mean that all views are equally right. Rather it means that one ought to put up with others’ wrong views, out of respect for the image of God and out of respect for God’s way of dealing with others in love. Secularism then twists biblically based tolerance into a rootless tolerance that attempts in practice to suppress the influence of religion on life.
Interesting. Lately I've been thinking about what it means to show tolerance as a Christian, and this gives me some food for thought.
