I bought this book because Susan Hunt is coming to do our Women’s Retreat in the fall and I wanted to read up 🙂 I read this particular Susan Hunt book first, because Daisy loved it so much. I also convinced my newly-begun book club to read this as our first book.
I enjoyed this very much. The first half of the book focuses on covenant, God’s promises and applying them.
The second half encourages us how to think through the ramifications of covenantal living by focusing our eyes on Christ, then seeing how to work that out in our every day lives, parenting, etc.
Excellent book, definitely would recommend 🙂
Thank you for posting all these book reviews and for encouraging me to get reading! Tell me about your book club.
You're welcome. I've been enjoying (most of) my reading this year. Even when I haven't loved the books, it has been good to be reading more regularly.
Several of us younger ladies decided to read a book then discuss it each month (or so … we did 2 months for this one, and it was our first book!) We are meeting at one of the mom's homes at 8:30 so littles can be in bed and drive time, someone brings dessert, one person is the "book despot" and selects the book we're going to read. It has been a nice group. Your sister in law is joining us 🙂
