Book Review (of a sort): My Man, Jeeves by P G Wodehouse
My Man Jeeves by P.G. Wodehouse
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This collection of short stories was perfect for late night reading. Amusing and interesting. The situational humor, the class-commentary, and the outcomes were entertaining and something to consider but wasn’t too challenging to the reader. I liked Wooster and Jeeves and Reggie Pepper.
I have to admit that, while I liked it a lot (note the 4 stars) I’m not sure why.
Because Wodehouse is *hilarious*, that's why. 🙂
Really? I liked it. I was entertained and found plenty worth a smile … but nothing really was laugh-out-loud funny to me. Don't get me wrong, I'm reading more and enjoying it, but I guess I just don't get 'hilarious.'
Well, some are definitely moreso than others. I don't think I've read that one; I usually prefer his novels to his short stories. I also laugh more when we do the audio versions and it's read with dry tone by a British accent. 🙂
I'm starting Right Ho, Jeeves now, so we'll see. I know Kelly prefers Psmith … That'll probably be next 🙂
