We enjoyed listening to Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban on a recent drive to (and from) the beach.
There was much to enjoy about this book. We liked the exciting plot. I liked the ways Rowling intricately wove seemingly unrelated plot points together. The reader is excellent (as many people told us before we listened). The information about Harry’s father and his friends, the character development, the dementors and their terrible power
Eavesdropping on highly detailed, just the information you needed, discussions in a relatively public milleu is a little bit of a cheat as a plot development device … it is a little lazy on the author’s part, imo.
The children loved it.
